Technopolis Sustainability Recognized

Technopolis participated in the GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) survey for the third year in a row and was again awarded with the prestigious Green Star status. Technopolis also received the EPRA silver sBPR award, an acknowledgment for its sustainability data disclosure.

Receiving these awards signifies that Technopolis is among the sustainability forerunners in the real estate sector. “These world-class external recognitions, measuring environmental, social and governance related factors, reflect the high-level involvement of our personnel implementing sustainability throughout our operations,” says Keith Silverang, CEO of Technopolis.

The success in GRESB was greatly based on Technopolis’ devotion to ensure the eco-efficiency of its building operations. The company did particularly well in the New Construction and Major Renovations category reaching one of the highest scores compared to its peers. The recent highlights include receiving the first LEED certificate in Lithuania and installing state-of-the-art solar panel solutions in new buildings in Yliopistonrinne, Tampere and Ülemiste, Tallinn.

In addition, Technopolis’ Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2015 received the EPRA silver sBPR award. “We will continue to develop our reporting since it is a priority to us to depict our environmental and social impacts in a transparent and meaningful way,” says Johanna Kivelä, Sustainability Manager at Technopolis.
