Technopolis and ARE to extend partnership – ARE provides facility services for over sixty properties

The shared workspace expert Technopolis and building services company ARE have agreed to further extend their partnership to cover the maintenance and facility services of all Technopolis properties in Finland. Cooperation continues in Oulu and launches in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Tampere at the turn of the year. The expanding partnership advances Technopolis' energy efficiency goals without making any compromises on conditions on the premises or user satisfaction.

The use of office spaces is in transition. Companies have increasingly high requirements for eco-friendliness, quality, technology, and flexibility of their office space. Technopolis is known for facilities that are more than just workspaces. They are adaptable and meet their customers’ changing needs. ARE supports this by ensuring that the technology of the properties is proven and reliable.

”The building services regulating heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting have a significant impact on occupant comfort and wellbeing. As a partner of Technopolis, our job is to not only maintain the technology but to ensure user satisfaction at the property. In Oulu, we have produced great results and improved user satisfaction," says ARE’s Key Account Manager Jussi Ala-Honkola.

ARE’s services are provided with the Smart Maintenance operating model, which optimizes property’s energy costs, streamlines property management, and improves user conditions. The partnership is managed by objectives targeting user satisfaction and energy efficiency.

”We require our partners to be highly professional and to commit to our shared goals. The success is measured and monitored transparently. For example, we reward designated ARE personnel for contributions towards energy efficiency goals,” says Ismo Myllymäki, Head of Property Management at Technopolis.

On a shared journey toward the best energy efficiency and highest user satisfaction in the industry

Technopolis is committed to continuously improving the energy use and energy efficiency at their properties even further, which supports the company's commitment to using carbon-neutral energy in all its buildings by 2030.

”We want our properties to be sustainable and responsible in terms of people, the environment and the use of society's resources. Our shared goal is to minimize the carbon footprint of our properties without making any compromises on conditions. Comprehensive property services support Technopolis' goal to provide flexible and efficient workspaces that support customers’ wellbeing,” Myllymäki says.

ARE Sensus® technical building system is the beating heart of nine Technopolis properties in the capital region and in Tampere. ARE Sensus® is the only system that provides a highly efficient combination of heating, cooling, and ventilation.

”Sensus is extremely user-friendly, discreet and easy to modify, providing excellent functionalities for property maintenance. Sensus recovers waste heat and circulates it within the building, considerably reducing the need for purchased energy,” Ala-Honkola says.

The newly extended cooperation between Technopolis and ARE begins on January 1, 2023, at all Technopolis campuses in Finland. The partnership strengthens Technopolis' position as the leading office space brand in Northern Europe and ensures maintenance excellence for their properties both now and in the future.
