Technopolis extends lease with Telia in Gothenburg

Long term key agreement enables Technopolis to fully implement its concept.

PRESS RELEASE

The Finnish real estate company Technopolis acquired the property Gårda 13:6, comprising of 34,000 square meters at central location Gothenburg, already in 2016. Ever since the plan has been to transform the property into a modern and attractive business campus with a wide variety of service and smart solutions to facilitate the business of its customers. Four years later, an agreement with the largest tenant Telia is finally in place, which enables execution of the plan.

– Everything has gone according to plan, but the process has been considerably longer than it was first intended. We now look forward of also welcoming new customers to our campus, says Johan Herner, Business Unit Director at Technopolis Sweden.

The plan for the large property has been to implement the same successful concept which Technopolis is running at its other business campuses internationally. It will finally become reality. The new, long term, agreement with Telia means that Technopolis retains an important customer and will be able to deliver on its brand promise.

– We are very happy to be able to retain Telia as a customer and an anchor in the property. It is exactly that type of customer we want to accommodate, and Telia will be immensely important in making our campus a business driving and attractive property for other customers. At the same time, we can finally convert the property into a real Technopolis campus, says Johan Herner.

With the key agreement with Telia in place, Technopolis will promptly start an extensive renovation of the property. The buildings’ unique prerequisites will be utilized, and technology and volumes will be upgraded to meet the demands businesses have on modern, flexible and sustainable offices. In addition to Telia, the property also houses companies like Fujitsu, Asics and SOTI – but Technopolis has room for many more.

– Our campus is in a prime location both in relation to critical infrastructure and downtown Gothenburg, to host attractive employers in the growing Gothenburg region. In addition to this, we can soon provide our customers a level of service beyond what may be expected, whether it regards reception services, meeting spaces, workplace design or gym and health facilities, says Johan Herner.
