UMA Workspace to sell its operations in Finland

UMA Workspace in Finland (Technopolis UMA Holding Oy) has reached an agreement with YIT, the largest Finnish construction company, to sell its operations in three locations in Finland (UMA Esplanadi, UMA Teurastamo and UMA Keilaniemi). The operations have been transferred to the new owner on April 6, 2021.

YIT develops and builds apartments, business premises and entire areas, and has operations in 10 countries. YIT recently announced that it will introduce a new concept called Workery+ which combines best practices from both traditional office rental and coworking spaces. The acquisition of UMA Workspace operations in Finland is part of this development, marking a quick start for YIT’s new business area.

UMA Workspace is Technopolis’ coworking concept, which was established in 2016, and is operating in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region. In March 2021, UMA Workspace divested its operations in Stockholm, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. With these divestments Technopolis will concentrate on its core business and service concept; to own, develop its campuses and maintain efficiency and high quality in customer experience.
