Technopolis Oulu – Attractive sauna spaces with rooftop views
The sauna facilities in Oulu are located on three of our four Oulu campuses — Peltola, Ydinkeskusta, and Linnanmaa. In total, you can find five stylish sauna spaces in five different buildings.
Firstly, there’s Reykjavik sauna on Sepänkatu 20. This popular sauna space is located in the heart of Oulu and is suitable for both smaller gatherings and larger events, such as birthday or wedding parties. You can find a fireplace at Reykjavik and a roof terrace that offers great views of the city center. That’s not the only reason why Reykjavik is the most popular sauna in Oulu, as there’s also an excellent catering service provided by our top campus restaurant.
Madetoja is a relaxed sauna space on Peltola campus that’s perfect for hosting sauna evenings, birthday parties, and special team days. The space includes two saunas with separate changing rooms, a kitchen, and two cozy terrace areas. Delicious food is also available from Myrsky restaurant.
On Elektroniikkatie 2, there’s the top-floor Suomi sauna. This intimate sauna space has a cozy fireplace and big rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful sea views from the eighth floor. Kalevala sauna is on Elektroniikkatie 3, which has its own fireplace and log sauna, as well as a covered roof terrace with heat lamps.
Last but not least, there’s Skandinavia sauna on Teknologiantie 1. This is another intimate space that generally hosts smaller parties. At Skandinavia, you can find a large changing room and attractive semicircular sauna benches. Skandinavia has also hosted four different presidents since it was established in the 1980s.
