Kuehne+Nagel has located all its IT functions in trendy Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Altogether 520 IT professionals work in the modern and innovative office spaces of Technopolis.
Kuehne+Nagel is a global logistics company known for its innovative supply chain solutions. The IT Hub of Kuehne+Nagel is located in Tallinn where the company had to find modern office premises that would adapt to the needs of each moment. The growth of the IT Hub could not be predicted at that point, which is why special flexibility was expected from the landlord.
The IT Hub found a suitable office from Technopolis Ülemiste, where it has been possible to expand the premises according to the growing number of personnel. The company's office premises have expanded from one floor to six, in addition to which employees have enjoyed versatile services and the pleasant atmosphere of Ülemiste City.

“In Kuehne+Nagel IT Service Centre we have approximately 520 IT specialists. Here we offer IT services to the whole company starting from integrated logistics to for example warehousing, oil and gas. We started our work in this Technopolis building exactly 10 years ago and at that time we only used the base floor. Over the years our team has grown strongly and nowadays we have altogether 6 floors of office space,” says Hanna Niitmets, Head of HR and People Engagement at Kuehne+Nagel.
Modern workspaces that adapt easily to changing requirements
When the operation of the Service Centre started, no one knew how big the team would grow. Kuehne+Nagel chose Technopolis as a landlord because their spaces allowed the operation to grow within the same building. Employees are pleased with modern working facilities that are also easily customizable if needed.
“We have grown so much, so the spaces have also always been evolving. One year we might have knocked all the walls down and next year we are already building something completely new in the same space. During these years our requirements have changed and sometimes external factors, such as COVID-19 have affected our needs in the proposal of office premises. Technopolis has always been able to provide us with anything we need, for example empty spaces or walls,” Niitmets adds.

The Service Centre is located in Ülemiste City, where several other industry players also operate. Niitmets describes the atmosphere there as friendly and extremely innovative. Local companies develop the community together in addition to which Technopolis actively involves client companies in the development of the service offering in the area. Most recently, a new pharmacy was opened nearby to make everyday life easier for all the employees.
“The greatest thing about Technopolis has been that they always find a way to help us if needed. If we need for example catering or another floor, they can meet our expectations either way.
